The
owner of J. McLellan, L.L.C., A. Alan Avery, has over 35+ years in the construction industry -- including residential, multi-family
housing, commercial, and civil construction. In the mid-1960's he began his career working as a carpenter on heavy industrial
projects. He then moved into the residential sector as a framing contractor during most of the 1970's. In the early 1980's
he was hired by a company that built multi-family condos and retirement complexes. He began with this company as a framing
foreman, becoming an assistant superintendent, then a project superintendent, before finally becoming the companies general
superintendent. In the 1990's his experience led him into the commercial construction industry. In 2001 Alan retired from
his position as VP of Construction for a commercial contracting company that conducted business in twelve western states.
Since then he has reentered the residential construction market, founding J. McLellan L.L.C. in the Winter of 2001.
